Is your company committed to customer satisfaction and improved performance? If so, then you have a quality system in place and you regularly work with your employees to make them equally committed to your quality objectives. This video will give you another training tool for obtaining employee buy-in to a successful quality program.
Basically, your quality system is designed to satisfy customers and improve performance. Your system may or may not be based on an external standard (i.e., ISO 9001); but regardless, your system is vital in order to achieve profitability. Your employees have an important role in influencing customer perceptions and achieving quality results, but you must continually impress on them the importance of their role and how they can contribute.
Quality Basics is an excellent training tool for reinforcing the commitment of your employees to quality. It is an easy-to-understand, 16-minute video that discusses what quality is, the importance of quality to company success and the four basic guidelines for assuring satisfactory quality.
The video is presented in a straight forward, no nonsense manner by Jack West and Charlie Cianfrani who have been training auditors and conducting audits for many years. Jack is the Chair of the US Technical Advisory Group and the lead US delegate to ISO/TC 176 that has produced the ISO 9000 family of standards. Charlie is a US expert delegate to ISO/TC 176 within the working group that wrote ISO 9001/4:2000.
The accompanying Learning Guide includes the text of what’s on the video, key points, space to jot down notes and a “test” to evaluate how well the viewer has learned the material (an ideal handout to viewers of the video).
