
Account Manager
Intertek provides safety testing and certification services to
a variety of industries including wireless technology, security, home
appliances, industrial, medical, telecommunications, automotive, building
products and electronics.
Job Title: Account Manager
Location: Boxborough, MA
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic sales executive to
develop our certification business in the Northeast Region of the U.S.
This position will be responsible for performing consultative sales for
our third-party quality management systems business including increasing
existing sales and identifying and developing new opportunities.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- ISO 9000 and 14001 Industry knowledge
- A minimum of five years successful
sales experience
- Strong prospecting capabilities
- Effective relationship building
skills
- Proven track record of territory growth and individual
account growth
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
and superior presentation skills
- Ability to work independently
in a fast-paced environment
- MUST be self motivated and assertive
- Strong organizational and time
management skills
- Working knowledge of personal computers & MS
Office software
- Ability to travel extensively – over
80% of the time
REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS degree or higher is preferred.
- 3-5 years field sales or equivalent
industry experience is required.
- Experience in selling enterprise
solutions to executive level decision makers is required.
- Knowledge
of ISO9000/Quality Systems management is mandatory.
- Ability
to initiate, negotiate and acquire new business contracts.
Proven consistency in reaching sales revenue goals/quotes
- Excellent
written and oral communication skills, including public presentation
skills.
- Working knowledge of management systems, including design,
manufacturing, quality, human resources, finance, sales/marketing,
and
administration. Experience and confidence to make recommendations to prospects
in any of these areas.
- Customer-service focus.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage self and territory
independently, while achieving territory revenue/business goals.
- Knowledge
of: electronic sales databases; field technology devices
such as laptop computers, portable printer, fax machine,
cell phone, etc).
